In this lesson, you will learn how to form questions and answers in Indonesian using the question words "apa", "siapa", "bagaimana", and "di mana".

Apa[επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]

"Apa" is used to ask for a thing or an idea.

Here is an example:

Apa nama kamu? "Apa" "nama" "kamu?" Ποιο είναι το όνομά σας;
Apa itu? "Apa" "itu?" Τι είναι αυτό;

To answer the question, you can simply repeat the noun or use the verb "adalah" (is).

Here are some examples:

  • Nama saya adalah Budi. (My name is Budi.)
  • Itu adalah buku. (That is a book.)

Siapa[επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]

"Siapa" is used to ask for a person or people.

Here is an example:

"Bagaimana" is used to ask for a manner or a way of something.

To answer the question, you can simply describe the manner or the way.

Here are some examples:

  • Kabar saya baik-baik saja. (I am fine.)
  • Pergilah ke arah utara, lalu belok kanan di persimpangan. (Go north, then turn right at the intersection.)

Di mana[επεξεργασία | επεξεργασία κώδικα]

"Di mana" is used to ask for a place or location.

Here is an example:
