As a Panjabi language teacher, I have been teaching Panjabi for the last 20 years. In this lesson, we will learn vocabulary related to family and relationships. Family plays a very important role in Panjabi culture, and it is important to understand different words related to it.

  • ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਹੈਂ? (Tusīn kī kisam de ris̪ʈ̬e hain?) - What kind of relationships do you have?
  • ਮੈਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਸਤ (ਵਿਆਹ ਸੁਨਿਤਾ ਹੈ)। (Main tusīn da dost (vya:h sunīta hai).) - I am your friend (I heard about your marriage).
  • ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੀਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ। (Bahuṭ khuśī hoīā̃ main vīh dē vya:h dī khabar sun kē.) - I am very happy to hear about your marriage.
