Adjectives[redaktə | mənbəni redaktə et]

Adjectives are words that describe or modify nouns. In Indonesian, adjectives are usually placed after the noun they describe.

For example, "rumah besar" means "big house". "Besar" is the adjective that describes the noun "rumah".

Here are some common adjectives in Indonesian:

Indonesian Pronunciation North Azerbaijani
cantik [ˈtʃantɪk] gözəl
bagus [baˈɡʊs] yaxşı
tinggi [ˈtɪŋɡi] hündür
pendek [ˈpɛndɛk] qısa
panjang [ˈpaɲd͡ʒaŋ] uzun
besar [ˈbɛsar] böyük
kecil [ˈkɛtʃil] kiçik

To use an adjective to describe a noun, simply place the adjective after the noun. For example:

  • "Mobil merah" means "red car".
  • "Buku bagus" means "good book".

Adverbs[redaktə | mənbəni redaktə et]

Adverbs are words that describe or modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. In Indonesian, adverbs are often formed by adding "-nya" to the end of an adjective.

For example, "cepat" means "fast". To turn it into an adverb, you can add "-nya" to get "cepatnya" which means "quickly". Another example is "besar" which means "big". To turn it into an adverb, you can add "-nya" to get "besarnya" which means "largely".

Here are some common adverbs in Indonesian:

Indonesian Pronunciation North Azerbaijani
tidak [ˈtidak] deyil
sangat [ˈsaŋat] çox
cepatnya [tʃɛˈpatˌɲa] sürətli olaraq
besarnya [bɛˈsarnya] böyük ölçüdə
segera [səˈɡɛra] tez-tez
mungkin [muŋˈkin] bəlkə
sebenarnya [səbɛˈnarnya] əslində

To use an adverb, simply place it after the verb or adjective it is modifying. For example:

  • "Dia tidak suka makanan pedas" means "He/she does not like spicy food".
  • "Saya sangat senang bertemu dengan kamu" means "I am very happy to meet you".

That's it for adjectives and adverbs in Indonesian. Keep practicing and soon you'll be able to describe things masterfully!
