Notice how we can use เบเบตเป (ni) to describe today, or เบซเบงเบฑเบ (vang) to describe yesterday. We use the word เบญเบทเปเบ (euin) to describe tomorrow, or เบเบญเบเบเบตเป (ton ni) for yesterday.
Here's an example of a dialogue to help you practice:
- Person 1: เบงเบฑเบเบเบตเปเปเบเบทเบญเบเบเบฐเบซเบฑเบ. (Wan ni duen parot) (Today is Thursday.)
- Person 2: เปเบกเปเบเบเบตเปเบเบตเปเบเบตเปเปเบกเปเบเบงเบฑเบเบชเบธเบ. (Mae ni thi ni mae wan suk.) (Today is Friday.)

In Lao culture, Saturday is considered an auspicious day for weddings. Most Lao weddings occur on a Saturday because it is believed that Saturday is the day that brings the most luck and prosperity for the couple.
Additionally, Lao people view Monday as a day of good fortune. According to Buddhist beliefs, Monday is the day when most of us start our workweek. Therefore, it's a good day to seek blessings and pray for success in work and business.
