Asking and Answering About Dates

To ask about the date in Sindhi, we use the phrase "ٻاھڻ سان ڪيون" (baḥṇu sān kiyoN), which means "what is the date today?"

To answer, we say the name of the day followed by the number of the day and the name of the month. For example, if today is August 4th, we would say "آئون ساڌو اڄ" (ā'ūn sāu cuāro áj).

Here are some examples:

  • ٻاھڻ سان ڪيون؟ (baḥṇu sān kiyoN?) - What is the date today?
  • آچر اڄ پنجوم ٽپپندي ٿيو. (āchar áj panjōm ṭuppandī ṭhiyō.) - Today is Saturday, August 5th.
  • ساڀتو اڄ ٢٧ فروري ٿيو. (sāṭtu áj bāhsو ستن bārah ṭhiyō.) - Today is Tuesday, February 27th.
