In this lesson, we will learn how to use the verb "have" in Nepali (individual language). We will look at the different forms of the verb and how it is used in different contexts. We will also look at some examples of sentences using the verb "have".

What is the verb "have"?

The verb "have" is a very common verb in Nepali (individual language). It is used to express possession, ownership, or relationship. It can also be used to express an action that has been completed.

Forms of the verb "have"

The verb "have" has three forms in Nepali (individual language):

  • Present tense: हुनु (hunu)
  • Past tense: हुन्छ (huncha)
  • Future tense: हुनेछ (huneche)

How to use the verb "have"

The verb "have" is used in many different ways in Nepali (individual language). Here are some examples:

To express possession

The verb "have" is used to express possession or ownership. For example:

  • Person 1: तपाईंले के छ? (tapaainle ke cha?)
  • Person 2: म एक घर र एक गाडी हुनुहुन्छ। (ma ek ghar ra ek gaadi hunuhuncha.)

Translation:

  • Person 1: What do you have?
  • Person 2: I have a house and a car.

To express relationship

The verb "have" is also used to express a relationship between two people. For example:

  • Person 1: तपाईंको भाई के छ? (tapaainko bhaee ke cha?)
  • Person 2: मले दुई भाई र दुई बहिनी हुनुहुन्छ। (male dui bhaee ra dui bahinihunuhuncha.)

Translation:

  • Person 1: Do you have any brothers or sisters?
  • Person 2: I have two brothers and two sisters.

To express an action that has been completed

The verb "have" can also be used to express an action that has been completed. For example:

  • Person 1: तपाईंले के गर्नु भएको छ? (tapaainle ke garnu bhaeko cha?)
  • Person 2: म सबै गर्नु भएको हुनुहुन्छ। (ma sabai garnu bhaeko hunuhuncha.)

Translation:

  • Person 1: Have you done everything?
  • Person 2: I have done everything.

Examples

Here are some examples of sentences using the verb "have":

Nepali (individual language) Pronunciation English Translation
म एक घर र एक गाडी हुनुहुन्छ। ma ek ghar ra ek gaadi hunuhuncha. I have a house and a car.
मले दुई भाई र दुई बहिनी हुनुहुन्छ। male dui bhaee ra dui bahinihunuhuncha. I have two brothers and two sisters.
म सबै गर्नु भएको हुनुहुन्छ। ma sabai garnu bhaeko hunuhuncha. I have done everything.
