As a Bengali language teacher with 20 years of experience, I am excited to introduce you to Bengali temporal prepositions.

Temporal prepositions are used to indicate time and temporal relationships between events or actions.

Here are some common Bengali temporal prepositions:

পূর্বে - Before

আমি অনেক আগে ছিলাম। (Ami onek age chhilam.)

I was here long ago.

পূর্বে তুমি কোথায় ছিলে? (Purbe tumi kothay chile?)

Where were you before?

পরে - After

আমি এখন খেয়েছি। তুমি কি পরে খেতে চাও? (Ami ekhon kheyechi. Tumi ki pore khetey chao?)

I have eaten now. Do you want to eat after?

তেও কম্পিউটার করে পরে সে ঘুম করে গেল। (Teo computer kore pore se ghum kore gel.)

After doing the computer, he went to sleep.

সময়কালে - During

সময়কালে আমি সেখানে ছিলাম। (Somoykale ami sekhaney chhilam.)

I was there during that time.

উত্সবসময়কালে দুলাভোরহাটে মেলা হয়। (Utsob somoykale Dulabhor hathe mela hoy.)

During the festival season, there is a fair in Dulabhor Hat.

পরবর্তীতে / আগেরদিকে - Next / Previous

পরবর্তীতে শনিবার আমি ঢাকায় যাব। (Porbortite Shonibar ami Dhakay jabo.)

Next Saturday, I will go to Dhaka.

আগেরদিকে সে আমার বাসায় আসবে। (Ager dikhe se amar bashay asbe.)

He will come to my house previous way.

সময়ে - At

সকালে আমি টিভি চালানো হয়। (Shokale ami TV chalano hoy.)

I watch TV in the morning.

সময়ে এসে সে আমার সামনে দাঁড়াল। (Somoye ese se amar samne daral.)

He came and stood in front of me at the time.

So there you have it, Bengali temporal prepositions!
