Colors and shapes are important parts of our daily lives. In this lesson, we will learn the names of colors and shapes in Malay, including basic descriptions and usage.

Colors

Malaysia is known for its vibrant colors, from the bright blue skies to the warm orange sunsets. Here are some of the most commonly used colors in Malay:

Biru bee-roo Blue
Hijau hee-jow Green

Shapes

Shapes are important in describing objects and in architecture. Here are some of the most commonly used shapes in Malay:

  • Persegi panjang - Rectangle
  • Lingkaran - Circle

Here are some example sentences using these shapes:
