Overview[edit | edit source]

The conditional mood in Telugu is formed by adding the suffixes -కు/-గా/-ని/-లేదు to the verb stem. The suffixes are added depending on the person and number of the subject.

Person and Number[edit | edit source]

The suffixes -కు/-గా/-ని/-లేదు are added to the verb stem depending on the person and number of the subject.

  • First Person Singular: -కు
  • Second Person Singular: -గా
  • Third Person Singular: -ని
  • Plural: -లేదు

Examples[edit | edit source]

Here are some examples of the conditional mood in Telugu:

  • నేను పాటుకు (I will sing)
  • నీకు పాటుగా (You will sing)
  • అది పాటుని (He/She/It will sing)
  • అవి పాటులేదు (They will not sing)

Usage[edit | edit source]

The conditional mood is used to express a hypothetical situation or an event that may or may not happen in the future. It is also used to express wishes and desires.

For example:

  • నేను తర్వాత పాటుకు (I will sing later)
  • నీకు తర్వాత పాటుగా (You will sing later)
  • అది తర్వాత పాటుని (He/She/It will sing later)
  • అవి తర్వాత పాటులేదు (They will not sing later)

The conditional mood can also be used to express wishes and desires. For example:

  • నేను పాటుకు ఆనందించాలి (I wish I could sing)
  • నీకు పాటుగా ఆనందించాలి (You wish you could sing)
  • అది పాటుని ఆనందించాలి (He/She/It wishes he/she/it could sing)
  • అవి పాటులేదు ఆనందించాలి (They wish they could not sing)

Conclusion[edit | edit source]

In this lesson, we discussed the conditional mood in Telugu. We learned how to form the conditional mood and how it is used to express a hypothetical situation or an event that may or may not happen in the future, as well as wishes and desires.
