Hello, my name is Phil. I’m from the Northern United States in the state of Minnesota. I’m from a small town and live in a very sparsely populated area. I studied three years of Spanish in high school, took three semesters of Greek in college and three semesters of Hebrew in graduate school. My fascination is in ancient near East history which is largely focused on Assyriology. I want to get into a PhD program focused on the ancient near east, many of which require learning French and German. Most of those dig sites are in Arabic speaking countries. Finally, my wife has Spanish speaking relatives, I work in a field with many Spanish speakers, and desire to do some mission work in Spanish speaking countries. I am a gamer, I like the outdoors, and I like to read. I have what many see as a strange sense of humor and I like to laugh. I don’t watch much TV but i listen to a lot of music, mostly hard rock.
